During his time working for Sharrets, Yudi met and married his wife, Estee. After remaining in the UK for a few months following his marriage Yudi eventually moved to Florida where he managed Coifiocchi, an upper-class fine dining establishment.
With the skills acquired at his previous two jobs, Yudi moved into the private catering business. Known to be a tough field to work in due to its high competitiveness, Yudi established himself with his long proven credibility in making the Kosher catering experience a breeze from start to finish. He established Oahu Kosher to serve the Hawaiian Islands, and opened Yudi's Deli in November 2006–the only kosher restaurant in Hawaii (closed since 2008).

Catering to the Needs of Kosher Travelers
Yudi Weinbaum knows how hard it is for people who follow Jewish dietary law to get a good kosher meal in Hawaii... Weinbaum’s business, Oahu Kosher, caters, literally, to kosher travelers who order prepared meals delivered to their hotels and to all who visit his Yudi’s Deli on East Manoa Road... After posting an ad on a Web site run by Chabad of Hawaii saying, "Come get wonderful gourmet kosher food," within a few weeks Weinbaum had orders for 100 meals delivered to tourists seeking meals for Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath that begins at sundown on Fridays. ’Is there really a market?’

Hawaii Gets a Taste of Yiddishkeit with Kosher Deli
From London to Hawaii, by way of Miami, Yudi Weinbaum, 25, brings the flavors of the old country to Jews in the middle of the Pacific with a deli bearing his name... The venture that led to the current Yudi’s Deli began with a small catering business operated out of the Weinbaum's apartment in Oahu. In July 2006, he posted an ad on the Krasnjanskys’ Web site encouraging patrons to enjoy exquisitely prepared kosher food thousands of miles from the mainland. A month later, he had 100 orders for Shabbat meals to cater and deliver in Hawaii... "Kosher shouldn't be a problem in Hawaii," he says. "People should be able to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii and still get great kosher food."
